Start with your court.
Your citation notice is the starting point. A school’s license does not decide whether your ticket is eligible for traffic school.
Read the court guideConfirm eligibility and the deadline.
Read your notice or speak with the court’s traffic clerk. Keep the case details, required court fees, and completion deadline together.
Choose an available licensed school.
Check the DMV directory and the school’s enrollment and reporting availability. Our preview is available now; official enrollment is closed.
Complete the course and verify the result.
In an active enrollment, finish the lessons, pass the final exam, and then complete the required course evaluation (OL 767). This evaluation is separate from the final exam and the separate DMV survey. Confirm that the completion reached your court, and keep your records until the court resolves your case.
What you’ll find in the lessons.
The prepared course pairs California driving rules with practical decisions: how you scan an intersection, leave room to stop, and respond when conditions change.
Rules and road signs
Review right-of-way, intersections, lane use, speed, and sharing the road.
Space and attention
Recognize distractions and judge following distance, visibility, and stopping space.
Risk and responsibility
Study impaired driving, fatigue, restraints, and decisions that protect other road users.
Conditions and emergencies
Work through poor weather, vehicle problems, collision response, and safer trip preparation.

More traffic-school FAQsIs this an official DMV website?
No. California Licensing Education is a private traffic violator school. Our traffic-school license number is E1008; the permit on file was issued October 16, 2026 and is temporary. Check the school’s current status in the DMV traffic-school directory. Your court separately decides eligibility.
Can I enroll in traffic school here today?
Public enrollment is closed. You can explore the free course preview, but it does not earn credit, issue a completion certificate, or report anything to your court.
Will the preview satisfy my court deadline?
No. If your deadline is approaching, contact your court and choose an available licensed school. Do not rely on this preview for an official completion.
What is on the traffic-school test?
The prepared final exam has 25 multiple-choice questions, a 60-minute limit, and a passing score of 18 correct answers (72%). It is open-book; students must answer independently. The public preview is not an official final exam.
Can I finish instantly, or pay to skip the course?
No. A valid completion requires the required course and examination. A low price, fast website, or downloadable preview does not replace those requirements or your court’s permission.
How does completion reach the court?
Licensed traffic schools report through the DMV Traffic Violator Course Completion (TVCC) system. Our official reporting is not active yet. A submitted record, DMV acceptance, and posting to your court case are separate steps; verify the outcome with the court.
Is traffic school the same as dealer education?
No. Traffic violator school concerns an eligible traffic citation. Dealer prelicensing and continuing education concern a business license and use separate approval and reporting processes.
