California Licensing Education · Private education provider

School information, wherever you work.

Use the command line or an MCP client to check school availability, read public guidance, compare the planned school fee, and find official California court websites.

California Licensing Education is a private school. This service provides public information, not access to DMV records or court cases.

Public enrollment is closed.

The tools report live availability. They do not enroll students, complete examinations, accept payments, or submit court completions.

Connect with MCP.

Use this public Streamable HTTP endpoint. It needs no school account or API key.

https://traffic.californialicensingeducation.com/mcp

For Codex:

codex mcp add cle-traffic --url https://traffic.californialicensingeducation.com/mcp

For Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http cle-traffic https://traffic.californialicensingeducation.com/mcp

Other clients can use the same URL when they support Streamable HTTP. Application setup and availability depend on the host.

Prefer local stdio?

After installing the CLI, configure your host to launch cle with these arguments. The process calls the same public HTTPS service.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cle-traffic": {
      "command": "cle",
      "args": ["mcp", "serve", "--stdio"]
    }
  }
}

A small JSON API.

Read public data with GET requests. For example:

curl 'https://traffic.californialicensingeducation.com/api/v1/school'
curl 'https://traffic.californialicensingeducation.com/api/v1/courts?county=Ventura'

Additional endpoints: /api/v1/programs, /api/v1/price, /api/v1/guidance?q=cost, /api/v1/guidance/{id}, /api/v1/eligibility, and /api/v1/capabilities.

Use language for an information-language request. Unsupported translations return an explicit fallback. Do not send names, license numbers, citation identifiers, or other personal records to the public search.

Know the limits.

The court finder covers all 58 counties using the California Courts directory. It provides official links; it cannot look up your case, decide eligibility, or confirm court receipt.

All public guidance topics are available in English and Spanish. Cost, completion timing and school-license verification are also available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean. The capabilities endpoint lists the exact topics for each language. Translated program summaries follow the published language list; other languages fall back explicitly. The prepared course and examination remain English only.

Dealer programs remain in preparation with enrollment closed. Traffic-school license E1008 does not establish dealer-program approval.

Tested protocols.

The service and downloadable CLI are tested with actual MCP SDK clients: version 2.3.1 over Streamable HTTP and stdio, plus legacy version 1.32.1 over HTTP. The checks cover tool discovery, calls, structured responses, invalid input, and closed-service behavior.

This is protocol interoperability testing. It does not establish approval by OpenAI or Anthropic, inclusion in their directories, or testing in every application.
